The 1979 Le Mans 24-hour edition featured Steve O'Rourke, Pink Floyd's manager since Syd Barrett's departure in 1968 until he died in 2003 and founder of EMKA, the label's record producer of Pink Floyd. With a Ferrari BB512 LM and accompanied by Nick Faure, Bernard de Dryver and Jean Beurlys, they finished in 12th overall position and 5th. Of category IMSA.
